Mac OS Yosemite Can’t Login to iCloud

If you can’t login to apple with your username and password that you’re certain works, its because Yosemite is too old and does not have 2FA.

You must enter the following.

  • Username = Enter your Apple ID as normal.
  • Password = Enter your password as normal – this will fail.

You’ll receive a 2FA code on your iPhone.

Now, try to log in again, but do this.

  • Username = Apple ID.
  • Password = [yourNormalPassword][2FACode]  (Do not include the the brackets)

Password example: sUperSecretPw432765

Where 432765 was the 2FA code.

You’ll then be logged into the App Store and able to install all the way up to Monterey directly from Yosemite.
